This print is a challenge to servile thinking, a concentrated outrage against ignorance, an ultimatum to those who cling to foreign, imposed idols. It’s a reminder that when universities were already being built in Ukraine, frogs were still croaking in the neighboring swamps.
Shevchenko, Stus, Shukhevych — these are just a few names among hundreds of those whom Ukraine is proud of in its thousand-year history.
No wonder the land of vodka and shit so eagerly steals and destroys our memory, replacing it with myths about “younger brothers, one nation and a shared past” — because without history, there is no nation. Those who, for them, are national heroes — some with iron, others with documents and decrees — deliberately destroyed Ukrainian identity, so should these “heroes” be honored in Ukraine?
